About 30 km from the centre of Hanoi, the village of Quang Phu Cau in the Ung Hoa region has been providing incense to northern Vietnam for over a hundred years. Making incense is a time-consuming and labour-intensive process involved in every step such as splitting bamboo into splints, after finishing the process, the incense will be dried in the sun to avoid the phenomenon of mold and will not be used. and then inserting them into machines. The bundles of incense sticks are bundled with large sizes, the heads are together and the legs are spread like flowers in bloom. To form sticks before being transported in the East, incense is mainly used as a means of communication between the living, going through the village roads, you will see a lot of vehicles, large and small vehicles coming in and out to bring incense to sell. Somewhere, there are large courtyards filled with bouquets of red incense like giant flowers under the bright yellow sunlight. Here, people take advantage of the courtyards, communal houses, and vacant lots to dry incense, creating an extremely impressive scene. Quang Phu Cau incense village operates almost all year round, especially during the Tet season, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to visit often.
